After January 7, 2025, all traffic redirection must be conducted through Xiaohongshu’s private message lead generation tools. Directly sharing contact information in text format for lead generation will no longer be allowed. It is essential to learn how to set up and use Xiaohongshu’s official lead generation tools as soon as possible.
Steps to Set Up Lead Generation Tools on Xiaohongshu:
- Professional Account Management → Content Management → Private Message Service Tool → Welcome Message Assistant
- Set up automated welcome messages and replies for your private messages.
- Ensure these messages do not contain WeChat IDs, phone numbers, or other direct contact details.
- If any such contact information is already included, remove it immediatelyto avoid message delivery failures.
- Professional Account Management → Marketing Tools → Lead Generation Tools
- Configure a Lead Collection Cardor Business Card based on your business needs.
- Important:Once the Business Card feature is set up in the Lead Generation Tools, you can enable the Social Media Card option for easier contact sharing.
- Go to: Professional Account Management → Content Management → Private Message Service Tool → Quick Menu
- Enable the Social Media Cardfor users to access your contact details easily, similar to the previous auto-reply system.
- Don’t forget to toggle the Quick Menu switch ON and click Publishafter setting it up.
Key Platform Update Reminder
Starting January 7, 2025, all Xiaohongshu users will be prohibited from sharing WeChat IDs or phone numbers for external traffic redirection. The private message lead generation tool will become the only approved method for collecting leads and driving traffic.
