Is it true that Mainland Chinese can’t receive the messages from WeChat Global Account?
【Posted on: 2019 February】
While there might be a common misconception about Mainland China users being unable to receive any media showcased on the global platform due to the internet firewall, this is totally untrue. WeChat Global Accounts are typically subjected to prolonged application procedures, as the foreign company and its directors must undergo a more rigorous screening process. With regards to content delivery, WeChat generally publishes it first, followed by a review thereafter. In the event where the content sent from the Global Account is found to be in violation of China’s national policies, it will be deleted. If multiple violations are committed, the entire account might be banned. Therefore, as long as the company adheres to China’s content policies, its account will be safe.
For the broadcasting and dissemination of content, there is no significant difference. The main distinction lies in the level of participation for business activities involving payment. We will cover more minor differences in the future sessions.
