Weibo now allows redirection to WeChat mini program
You may now insert a WeChat mini program in your Weibo post! From June onwards, Weibo has allowed redirection to WeChat mini program from Weibo.
This is beneficial for merchants who have a WeChat mini program store as now you may direct traffic from Weibo to your WeChat mini program store.
This update provides one more entry point to WeChat mini program (previously users can only access the WeChat mini program within WeChat or by scanning QR code). Also, as Weibo restricted the traffic to Taobao and Tmall, this update is definitely a significant advantage for WeChat in terms of being an e-commerce platform.
